Sony Admits SIE Employee Data Breach and September Cyberattacks

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has recently informed approximately 6,800 present and past employees of a system breach in May, alongside confirming another breach in September. The second breach, currently under investigation, resulted in hackers pilfering 3.14 GB of data from a Japanese server. Leaked files encompass data from the SonarQube platform, certificates, a license generator, and Creators’ Cloud. The affected server has been deactivated, with an ongoing inquiry into the matter.
