Reliance Industries Ltd announced on Monday that global investment firm KKR will be investing Rs 2,069.50 crore in its retail subsidiary, Reliance Retail Ventures Limited. This investment will increase KKR’s stake from 1.17% to 1.42%. According to Reliance Industries, the investment is made at a “pre-money equity value of Rs 8.361 lakh crore (around USD 100 billion).” This move reflects the ongoing interest and investments in India’s retail sector by both domestic and international players.
