Free ration scheme to be extended 5 more years

Pradhan Manitri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana is being run by the Central Government for distribution of free food grains to the poor. This scheme was started at the time of Corona epidemic. The beneficiary of this scheme is given 5 kg of Rashin for free by the Central Government. In a press conference, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that the government will now distribute free ration under this scheme for 5 more years.
